She regales Cassie with fond memories of the fun they had together at the wedding reception, and hints that she's had a crush on her ever since. Cassie had a bit too much to drink that time, and doesn't remember any of the intimate details.

That night, Jen visits Cassie's bedroom to say goodnight, wearing just a form-fitting slip. Jen is nearly crying, and Cassie apologizes to her for being so blunt, recalling how friendly Jen had been at the wedding. She recounts that she and Kate were high school sweethearts with hopes of marrying, but Kate decided to marry someone else, a rich guy named Nick.

They joke about Nick and Cassie loosened up a bit. Jen starts flirting and out of nowhere suggests to Cassie: "Let's fuck". Cassie is nonplussed at the remark, but Jen kisses her. Cassie backs off, saying: "I'm not in college anymore -I'm a professional woman". Jen counters: "Let me help you be free".
