Cecilia admits that she actually left her girlfriend for Zoe's dad, and never told him about the prior affair. She's glad she married him, but still wonders how her life might have been, had she gone in another direction and perhaps been truer to herself -it's still an unresolved issue hanging over her. Zoe sympathizes, and receives another hug in solidarity.

Another night, another confession: Cecilia tells how serious her affair with the woman had become -they planned to run away together. In return, Zoe announces that she's been keeping a secret of her own, and now's the time to come clean. "I've been having some feelings for you, for a while now". She never told Cecilia, being afraid of how her stepmom or dad would react. Cecilia assures her that there's nothing wrong with having those feelings, even though she denied her own feelings long ago. "I do love you -can I be your lover", Zoe pleads. Cecilia kisses her. and admits she wanted to do that for a long time.
